The Harvest

Our garden is the vegetable version of Noah’s ark, we basically have two of everything. This year instead of going for a big crop of anything we planted a wide variety of plants to see what would do well, so we have a serving or two of corn, beans, beets, cabbage, etc.

The soil is not the best, so a few things are a bit anemic, but we are hoping they will be better next year beacuse we will have had a chance compost. So far my favorite has been the snap peas, they are so amazingly sweet it is like candy – I don’t even need to cook them to eat them.
